Product formulation starts with a base built for a specific texture and function: a gel cleanser, a cream moisturizer, a lightweight serum. Our formulation team draws on ingredient research, selects raw materials, and applies innovative solutions throughout the manufacturing process. Formulas complete a minimum 90-day stability period before approval, confirming performance under real-world conditions such as temperature shifts, packaging compatibility, and shelf life. Additional testing or review may be required depending on the formula, packaging, claims, or other project requirements.
Once a formula is approved, production runs through our 183,000 square foot, cGMP compliant, FDA-registered manufacturing site, where formulation, filling, and packaging operate under one roof. That scale supports both smaller sample runs and scalable production as your product sales grow.

Ally Labs does not charge a separate standard development fee for qualified manufacturing projects. Standard formulation, sampling, and sample development may be provided as part of qualified manufacturing opportunities, with payment due when you place a production purchase order. Unusual raw-material, third-party testing, regulatory, documentation, or other project-specific costs are discussed and approved in advance when applicable. Production cost itself depends on formula complexity, packaging choice, raw material sourcing, and order volume, and is scoped per project rather than published as a flat rate.
Can I choose my own packaging for a custom skincare product?
Yes — most brands source their own packaging, which we generally prefer, and our team reviews fit alongside the formula so bottles, jars, pumps, and closures match your product's texture and your brand's presentation. When appropriate, we can also introduce packaging vendors to help you source the right format.
What skin types can custom skincare formulas be developed for?
Formulas can be developed and tested across skin types, from oily and combination to sensitive and dry, on both the face and body. Testing during development confirms texture and performance before the formula moves to production.
